Nassau County Police announced that following an extensive investigation, three 15-year-old males, one 16-year-old male, and one 17-year-old male, all from Uniondale, were arrested between Thursday, Jan. 9, and Sunday, Jan. 12.
The assault took place around 2:40 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 8, after the victim left school and was confronted by the gang at the corner of Walnut Street and Leslie Lane, said Nassau County Police.
As a result of the confrontation, the 15-year-old suffered a non-life threatening stab wound as well as a head injury that was caused by being struck with a baseball bat.
Police had said at the time that the assault may have been gang-related. A press conference was scheduled for Monday afternoon, Jan. 13 to provide additional information.
All of the teens were charged with assault and gang assault.
